Our hybrid work model at Part and Sum is defined by three principles: flexibility, individual choice, and a remote-first mentality.

Flexibility

Our team members are distributed across the US and we even have a few international team members. Although we have standard work hours, we are designed to be flexible. As long as our team members are accountable for their work, are present for key client and internal meetings, and are communicative during work hours, we encourage them to do what works best for them.

Our flexible environment also provides the opportunity to accommodate personal travel. With proper planning, our team members have been able to adjust their work schedule to fit their temporary time zones and explore new parts of the world!

Individual Choice

By default, we expect our team to work from home and support this by providing resources for their home office setup where they can design the home office that best suits their individual needs.

Working from home might be ideal for some of our team, but to accommodate team members who love a change of scenery, we will cover the cost of flex spaces.

Remote First

Although several team members work out of both of our flex space options in New York and have the opportunity to collaborate in person, our Meeting Etiquette Policy states that if one team member is working remotely, we all work remotely. Team members should have an equal opportunity to collaborate and contribute to meetings regardless of work location.

Check out our guide to Preventing Remote Work Fatigue for additional tips on how to be a good remote first team member!
