Before embarking on our learning in public experiment, we collected Research on digital gardens, wikis and learning in public to better understand this concept and how it’s been used in real life. From Maggie Appleton’s "A Brief History & Ethos of the Digital Garden”, we learned that digital gardens are:

Interestingly, our research yielded a ton of personal digital gardens and a fair amount of informational company wikis. There were virtually no companies who ascribed digital gardening principles as central to their content development.

In late February 2022, our team presented our vision and rollout for Part and Sum’s Digital Garden. In this deck, we walked through our initial vision, goals, and principles for setting up the P+S digital garden.
