This employee handbook is our attempt to keep you informed of Company policies and procedures. The handbook is not a contract. The Company reserves the right to revise, add, or delete from this handbook as it determines to be in its best interest. When changes are made to the policies and guidelines contained herein, we will endeavor to communicate them in a timely fashion.
This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. If E-Verify cannot confirm that you are authorized to work, this employer is required to give you written instructions and an opportunity to contact Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or Social Security Administration (SSA) so you can begin to resolve the issue before the employer can take any action against you, including terminating your employment. Employers can only use E-Verify once you have accepted a job offer and completed the Form I-9.

Part and Sum is an “at-will” employer. This means that your employment with Part and Sum will not be for any specified period of time. As a result, you are free to resign at any time, for any reason, and without notice to the company. Part and Sum will have a similar right and may terminate its employment relationship with you at any time, with or without notice and with or without cause. Only Part and Sum’s CEO has the authority to alter your at-will status or guarantee your employment for any specified period of time. Any such change shall be made only by a written agreement signed by you and the CEO.
This ”at will” policy supersedes any prior agreements or policies, whether written or oral, on this subject.
The probationary period is designed to assess the suitability of new employees for their roles within Part and Sum. During this period, both the new employee and the company have the opportunity to evaluate the employee’s performance, conduct, and overall compatibility with the organization's values and culture.
The probationary period for newly hired employees is 90 days unless otherwise specified in a written employment agreement. This period may be extended or shortened at the company’s discretion in exceptional cases.
During the probationary period, employees are expected to:
Health insurance benefits will be available to employees after the first of the month following their date of hire employment.
Throughout the probationary period, employees will receive regular feedback and evaluations from a member of the leadership team. This feedback will include discussions of strengths, areas of opportunity, and recommendations for growth and development.
At the end of the probationary period, the employee’s performance and conduct will be evaluated. Based on the assessment employees can expect to be informed of successful completion, extension of the probation period, or termination of employment.
Part and Sum reserves the right to terminate employment during or at the end of the probationary period.
The probationary period does not alter the at-will nature of your employment at Part and Sum. Employment remains “at-will” and either party can terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without notice and with or without cause.
Information related to the probationary period, including assessments, evaluations, and discussions, will be kept confidential between the employee and leadership team members to the extent permitted by law.
